Getting It Right

After deciding on a colour scheme for making Sergeants, Vanguard and Characters stand out with their own 'rank structure armour' paint scheme.

For example an Initiate will have normal white shoulder pads, black helmet and red tabbard.

Sergeant of that unit with have the same as above but have a white helmet.

A sword brother leading that unit will have red shoulder pads and a white helmet.

My vanguard (which are all effectively sword brothers/brethren) will all have red shoulder pads and white helmets, but the leader of that unit will have a white tabbard noting his veterancy and respect.

To make sense if this my emperors champion had a white tabbard as does my Helbrecht (when he's finished).

In my army a white tabbard is of high rank and leadership.

Neophyte -> Initiate -> Sergeant -> Sword Brother -> Sword Brother Squad Leader -> Castellan -> Marshall -> High Marshall.

Obviously with the Emperors Champion it's anyone who has the 'vision'.

That's how I do my ranks and leadership structure, so before I get people saying well that's not right it's how my Crusade is working.

I spent a bit of time trying to get the right kind of red for the shoulder pads today. Please note it's just the bit in the middle, the surrounding is not finished.

Overall I'm happy with how it turned out and the process!
