New Stuff That Is Incoming

While reading various sites and blogs, the flurry of new things that are coming look quite good.

With the release of Sternguard, Vanguard, Centurions (Assault & Devastator variants) the Anti-Air Gun/Rhino etc....

If I have forgot anything forgive me.

But what I am excited about is the Centurions (preparing flame shield....). The assault variant, well, those drills don't like particularly good. I understand the reasons for them, but it's not my cup of tea.

The ones I am looking forward to are the Devastator Centurions....
(Apologies for bad picture quality)

To me these look awesome in these colours, my colours, the correct colours!!

If I'm correct in reading that the Black Templars can take Centurions though there will be a couple of drawbacks. I'm still happy I can get some heavy weapons.

Yes I know there are Lascannons on Land Raiders etc.

It's the jump from being able to have a 5 man squad with a heavy weapon, yes I know it's beardy, yes I know it's very untemplar like, but the reaction I get when an opponent who I tell I have Black Templars and thinks "Great, lots of things to shot as they run towards me."

That is not the case, in my old games years ago when I first got into the hobby I started with Black Templars and I fielded my Land Raider Crusader (with Terminators and Marshall), 2 man mobs (1 with Emperor's Champion) then 4 x 5 man squads with heavy weapons. When they see 4 Lascannons being set up, oh the reaction is savourable! Seeing them wrack their brains re-thinking the tactics and wonder what they're going to concentrate their fire on - heavy weapons, LRC, 2 x man mobs or Assualt marines with Reclusiarch w/jump pack!

The new Centurions are going to be a massive welcomed bonus to my current army! Enough to sow seeds of oblivion to chaos heretics in one manner and slap the Sons of Sparta in the face in the other!

Disclaimer - I have a friend who plays chaos and another making a Sons of Sparta chapter, hence the smack talk about them.
